I have a notebook, which is used on the one hand as an emergency reserve, but also for various mobile applications.
In order to have certain data and documents available on both devices, I have tried to connect both computers within my home network (on a Fritzbox) to copy this data directly. The PC runs under Win10, the notebook with Win7.
Shares are set up and the other one is also visible on every computer. But as soon as you click the icon, a username and a network password are required. The password could be what you can see in the network settings, but why a "username"? If no one is set up, where is he from?
Do it with Teamviewer! (Free to download and free for home use.
True, but I already have the alternative solution: win7 was without password registration, without password, the network connection is inadmissible. The username is that of the windows login.
but with teamviewer I save myself the copy, thanks!
Thank you for the award.
