Outlook: option to mark messages as read when deleting not available?

I use Outlook 2019 on the laptop and PC.

With the laptop it was no problem to activate the option "Mark messages as read when deleting" via FILE - OPTIONS - E-MAIL and there under MORE, as this option is also offered there as the last on the page.

I would like to activate this on the PC, but the line "Mark messages as read when deleting" is missing.

How can that be? It's kind of strange. Can I still get the line there somehow? Or could it be somewhere else in the settings?

Did you set up both as IMAP accounts?

Why is that so important to you? It doesn't matter anyway whether messages to be deleted are marked as read or not, because they will be deleted and then you will no longer see them
