Company exit reset computer?

I have a legal question.

I have terminated my employment and must now according to my equipment (laptop, mobile phone, ect.) Return.

I would like to reset my laptop beforehand (to reset to factory settings) to ect all progressions. To delete.

All of my documents have been filed on an in-house Onedrive.

Is it permissible to reset the laptop if no documents are lost?

I found more information, but this was always about cases where the whole thing was associated with the deletion of company documents.

I look forward to your feedback.

No it is not. You do not own the stuff, so you're not allowed to delete any updates, etc.

Sh

No, you must not.

You may delete your personal documents, but not the files you have created or edited on behalf of your employer.

And certainly not the whole computer.

It can't be answered that easily.

For one thing, of course, the privacy law applies to your employer and he has to respect your privacy.

Therefore, the question arises whether you could also use the devices privately.

If this question can be answered with YES, you can delete everything concerning your private data.

But only securing the documents reaches i.d.R. Not from, because normally also approximately collected firm contacts of customers, suppliers or other relevant groups of the company, also these you must not delete or must these your future ex. Hand over employer. Also relevant emails may not be deleted easily.

The IT of the company will do the same, all relevant data will be backed up and then the notebook will be reset or returned (if it was leased and running out soon) (the leasing company may have to do the reset itself).

First of all thank you for the feedback. Contacts and mails from Outlook can, to my knowledge, also be saved as a backup. Primarily, my question relates to whether it is really only about the preservation of such data, or whether the act of deleting itself is not allowed.
