Can you use a tablet as a laptop?

Respectively. What is the difference? Can you use Office. So I actually need Word and Excel.

Ma

It depends on which tablet.

With e.g. Samsung there's this laptop mode but with an iPad you can only connect and type a keyboard, but not more.

Li

Yes, there are some laptops that are so narrow that they can be folded into a tablet

Tablet is a flat part, just like a tablet.

A tablet usually has No keyboard. It is designed for pure operation via touch screen. There are also tablets, which are offered together with a case with a small, simple keyboard. But that doesn't turn a tablet into a laptop or a subnotebook.

There are hybrid devices that can do both (e.g. Lenovo Yoga) - and of course you can also connect a keyboard and mouse via OTG (if the device or the OS supports it).

However, most tablets are more for "simple things". So surf, watch movies and maybe write a little message. Whole letters via onscreen keyboard? D rather not.

Va

Is there office on it?

Ma

Yes, but it costs money.

My

Of course there's an app.

Va

You can buy a keyboard. Does it have office?

je

The keyboard must also be supported - which is not always the case.

If via Bluetooth → the keyboard also needs a separate power supply. If connected to the tablet via USB → it must be supported.

Word and Excel for Android are not free. You need to buy an Office 365 to be fully functional. You can try out the free version to test it.
