I hope you can help me or at least have an idea what the problem could be.
I started my laptop, as normal, login profile and login window are all there. Logged in, loaded and then⦠Black background, all icons gone (except for the recycle bin, which only shows the error message "token not available" when you click on it). The touch bar is still available but has a black background, Windows start characters can't be used, is highlighted in red, when you move the mouse over it. I also checked the task manager, no more active processes. What exactly happened there? So that I at least know what kind of problem I have here, you might have a few ideas about what's going on and how me can proceed further?
Thank you in advance LG Manfred
Try Rescue CD with AV
Thank you, I'll give it a try π
In my opinion, the best. I'm going to make myself a USB like this in a moment - safe is safe as said Mannlicher:-)
Thank you, always beneficial to have multiple options π
And if so, what have you installed? And how did it work? Your experience is very important to me and others.
As soon as I have a result, I'll let you know ππ Unfortunately, it loads forever π
Do you do it with USB or CD? And what do you want to download right now?
USB
You can recognize a pioneer by the arrows stuck in his back.
You are the first one:-)
I'm waiting for your experiences and keep my fingers crossed for you.
Great saying ππ unfortunately nothing has happened so far, everything still looks the same
And thank you π
And what have you tried so far?
If it's just a system error, YOU can try Rescue CD
So the stick has now unfortunately not brought much π because apparently there are no programs that could be saved
Will try with the hardware π
OK. If hardware is OK, then you can do like I always do:
With Knoppix I copy all private things to other HD. Hopefully, you can still read HD without problems - if not then chkdsk:
https://www.google.com/...d&q=chkdsk
Then I format everything and reinstall everything.

Well It's very easy for me because I always work with Linux / Unix.
That's just bitter
If hardware is OK, then it's Windows Feler. Then Notffal-CD is easier than Knoppix.
