Recently my mouse on the laptop no longer works on the mouse pad. But on the table as always and I can't explain why it suddenly doesn't work anymore. It rules on the mouse pad very hesitantly, weakly, choppy and imprecise.
Can anyone help me?
What kind of mousepad do you have? Such one made of foam or hard plastic?
This can have several reasons:
The surface of the mouse pad is unsuitable for your type of mouse (ball mouse, optical mouse, laser mouse). Some techniques like e.g. No reflective surfaces, no other bends, etc. If you could before (with the same mouse) then put something UNDER the pad to stabilize it. This often works wonders when there are no more bends.
You have dirt on the mouse pad OR in the sensor (small hole on the underside of the mouse) of the mouse. If you still have a ball mouse (unlikely) then it has to be taken out (turn on the plastic) and cleaned - including the small rollers that move the ball.
It is also possible that the battery is too weak (often the case with wireless mice) and should be replaced.
The receiver (if you are using a wireless mouse) does not get the signal in properly. In that case just try to plug it in (another USB port) and / or put the mouse pad right next to it for TESTING and test it there.
