Usb stick not showing on the laptop?

I have a big problem my usb stick doesn't show on my laptop and all my school documents are in there.

I put another stick in it but it doesn't recognize André😰.

where is the problem?

Maybe the USB versions do not match (USB 3 stick in USB 2 socket)

You only need ONE device that recognizes both sticks, then you can transfer the stuff. Or cache them in a cloud. It must be possible!
