Backslash \ not working?

On my laptop I just can't type it in Word or Geany, but I can in WhatsApp and Discord. How can i fix it?

On the QWERTZ (German) keyboard the \ is triggered with [ALT-GR] + [ß].

Thanks for the tip, but I already know that, as I said, I can type it into all other software except Word, onenote and geany
