How long can a laptop battery calibration take?

My laptop has been doing a battery calibration for 24 hours and nothing has changed

What should change?

My battery does not charge it sticks at 2 percent, the battery level should change or a notification that the calibration is over

A battery calibration can't repair a broken battery, in principle only the display Battery full - Battery empty and the corresponding intermediate stages of the notebook are calibrated.

If your battery doesn't charge above 2%, the chances are it is just over.
