My notebook does not respond?

With many notebooks there's the possibility with the FN + Fxx (xx stands for 1-12) to switch the touchpad on and off.
Usually there's a rectangle on the key (mostly in gray) with one hand and an outstretched finger (everything kept very small)

Well You learn from mistakes. I've tried all possible combinations of Fn and the F1, F2, etc. Can't remember exactly what I wanted to achieve. I only noticed this now as I only use my touchscreen most of the time.
