Is a 128GB SSD reimbursed against a 220GB HDD?

In my laptop I have a 220 GB HDD. I still found an SSD of mine. My dilemma: should I prefer the hard drive size or speed?

What would you do?

Lo

SSD are currently extremely cheap, because it is worthwhile to access

Ky

Speed, or you get a 240GB SSD, costs 30 euro.

Jo

I also had the problem with my MacBook, I opted for the smaller SSD with less GB, but more power.

lg.

ps: Today, there are really cheap USB hard drives.

Ka

Amazone has 500 GB SSD for 124 euro. Is that cheap for an SSD?

Lo

No, you get that for half

Ro

Which notebook do you have exactly, or which hardware (CPU, graphics solution, Ram) is installed in it, and for what purpose do you use the book mainly?

How much MByte occupancy does your currently installed HDD have, and via which data interface (IDE or SATA I - III) does it communicate with the PCH?

A 220 GB HDD speaks for a relatively old touch- or netbook.

Ka

I BEG YOUR PARDON

that's no joke?

Lo

Ne 500gb SSD gabs recently from 50 euro; D

Later I can write everything, I do not have the notebook with me. But I definitely know that:

Packard bell Easynote TK85

Graka: Intel (I read I could install an ExpressCard, then I would NVIDIA or AMD.

Ka

I would prefer my PC but I need a new motherboard

Ro

Basically there's the PB - Easynote T85 with various Intel - Pentium P6xxx, or mobile Core i3 / i5 mobility 1st. Gene. ; Also with AMD E300 - Fusion APU.

Therefore, please check later, which version you have exactly and then get back here in the thread.

I read I could fit an express card, then I would NVIDIA or AMD.

Since I do not want to promise you too much here, because for dedicated graphics modules for retrofitting would normally need a PCIe - based MXM slot on the motherboard. You should then look in advance in your book, because the Nvidia and AMD graphics solutions named in the link can also be soldered to the motherboard.

Just register here in the thread again, if you have examined your book in more detail and can give the requested information. ☺

I would install the SSD immediately. The performance boost of an SSD as a system disk is huge.
You can also connect an external hard drive for the whole "mountain" of data.
