Windows 10 brightness can't be adjusted?

I have windows 10 and if the power adapter is not connected, then I can't adjust the brightness even if the laptop is fully charged. Are there other ways what could be?

Yes exactly and when I connect the power supply everything is normal again and I can adjust the brightness normally. The energy-saving mode starts with me from 49% but here it happens immediately when I remove the power supply
