I had no internet at around 2am last night. After I had internet again, only the devices connected with a LAN cable had internet. Strangely enough, cell phones also work with Wi-Fi. But the Fire TV, laptop or Playstation can't find a router to connect to. Provider: Vodafone (absolute garbage) and the router should be called CableMax.
Restart the router
Oh no, I would have thought that goes without saying. This is the first thing I've tried and not just once.
I work for a large German provider (not Vodafone, then again not that much red.) And you would be surprised how often this is not a given.
Otherwise, you can look in the router settings to see whether, for example, the 2.4 GHz network and the 5 GHz network are switched on and whether it is set somewhere that only known devices are allowed to connect. Turn that off.
Where exactly are the router settings? I don't fiddle around with the router that much. Except turning it on and off; DD
One reset was enough.
Yeah, then the settings are back to 0 :) Nice that the problem is gone!
