I have the following problem. I have from the router up to a Lan box in the wall (in which you can insert 2 LAN cable. Sorry I do not know well with the technical terms) about 15 years old LAN cable. However, I get if I connect to this Lan-Dose another LAN cable and this in turn to my PC, only a download rate of 10mbits. It is also constant at 10 and never goes higher. The cable from the box to my PC is a brand new one that has a transfer rate of up to 1000mbits. If I connect the cable directly to my router and on my laptop or pc I get 100mbits download. Now my question. Can it be that the old LAN cable simply can't afford more than 1.1mbits download? That is in my view the only explanation, since I have already tried everything many (cable from the box to the PC replaced, s.PC settings changed) So it is possible that old cable transfer worse download rates than newer? It's just hard to replace the cable because it is installed in the wall and goes right through the whole house. But it's just 15 years or even older. I would be very happy about an answer.
That's very possible. Can you possibly on the old cable recognize a print like Cat 3? About 15 years ago, Cat 3 cables were still being laid and they could only handle around 10 Mbit / s.
Likewise, you may have caught one of the first Cat 5 cables, but they should reach 100Mbps. Today's Cat5 cables reach 1000 with / s.
I'm afraid you'll have to bite into the sour apple and chisel the wall or just unplug the cable through the apartment. It should then be Cat6.
Yes that's true. Older Lankabel have a bad transmission rate than new ones.
Today, about 50% of Germans already cat. 6 off. Even me with a 100k line still have a cat. 6 KAbel and I are completely satisfied.
Cable fault.
Easy to find out. Other cable, fast, Dan is the old guilt.
The Teiöl has etew 5 kab. New Absezen and solder
Otherwise, new cable.
Or everything about Wi-Fi.
Goes eigendlich always.
What do you mean by reposition and solder. And with "just find out". I do not understand. Do not know me there.
It says "topnet 7000-1 kat. 7".
Could that be synonymous s.der network outlet? Do the limited transfer rates?
