Compact, powerful laptop for video editing?

Does anyone have recommendations for a powerful laptop, for editing videos. If this can also be combined with a price below 1000 euro, it would not be bad either.

Under 1000 euro it will be rather difficult to find something good.
I recently bought a new laptop (also designed for video editing) and had to spend a nice 1500 euro.

If you can invest a little more, it's worth it.

If you are not afraid of used Macs, I recommend a Macbook Pro 15 "from 2018.

Or a 13 "with touch bar (the others only have 2 cores)

Maybe you will have to pay a little more than 1000 euro, but it is very worth it.

Light, compact and as much as possible under 1000 euro… You can do this with a book based on an AMD Ryzen 5 - 3500u + Vega 8, or Ryzen 7-3700u + Vega 10, 512 GB SSD + 1-2 TB HDD and 16 GB Ram not much wrong already.

A book with a dedicated additional graphics solution from Nvidia or AMD would be a little more potent, especially with additional post-processing, since the resource sharing between CPU and iGPU cores would then be eliminated with RAM.

Then, however, the criterion "compact" with regard to cooling and volume will be rather difficult to implement with longer load use.

With 4 cores / 8 threads and Vega 8 / Vega 10 - iGPU for coprocessing, you have a good compromise of performance, cooling performance and noise development, at least for occasional video editing / post-processing, at least in the 15, x "segment.

Alternatively, for significantly more CPU processing power, a notebook with Intel's Core i7-8750H (Hexacore with SMT) and Intel UHD 630 iGPU. I would then increase this SoC to max. Limit about 2.0 Ghz during video editing.
