How can I connect a Google Chromecast (V3) to an old TV and home theater system to get 5.1 sound?

Thank you to everyone who is reading this, it will probably be a long text.

To the devices:

TV:

Toshiba 32AV635D
Does not support 5.1 surround sound
Toslink (optical audio) only releases 2.0
HD ready
4x HDMI IN (no ARC)

Home theater system:

Sony BDV-E2100
1x HDMI OUT (ARC supported)
Blutooth (apparently does not reflect 5.1)
Toslink

Google Chromecast:

3rd generation
without Ultra HD

I have already found out that Netflix etc. Work with Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 playback. The Netflix app on the mobile phone apparently can't play 5.1 and thus also not with the Chromcast. Apparently, the Amazon Prime app can. Netflix in the browser (Chrome) apparently can't 5.1, but the Netflix PC app.
Now it would of course be clever to plug the Chromecast or my notebook into an external device via HDMI, which transmits the picture to the television and sound via ARC to the home theater system.

The internal Netflix app of the home theater system can play 5.1 sound, but the system on the system is so incredibly slow that I don't want to keep it in the long run.

I have already looked at HDMI Audio Extractor, but mostly do not seem to support Dolby Digital Plus and certainly not to convert DD + to DD-AC3, so that 5.1 sound could be passed on to the home theater system via Toslink.

I also looked at HDMI matrix systems, but that doesn't seem to be the right thing either.

A / V receivers are too expensive for me. I got hold of the home theater system by chance for 55 euro, I don't want to put in another 50 euro or more.

I have already considered buying a defective Smart TV that supports ARC and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 sound. The idea would be to split the HDMI from the Chromecast or PC to two HDMI outputs and connect one with the old TV and one with the defective TV and then sound via ARC to the home theater system. The reasoning is doomed to fail. Display would still have to work halfway to be able to control the Chromecast and then I have two TVs in the room.

My colleagues think I should sell the system again.

I think before I put another 50 euro or more in an interim solution, I'd rather save on a better TV.

But maybe you know a good solution or even faced the same problem yourself.

Thank you very much for all of you who have read up to here.

Hmm, so I have a few ChromeCasts, but only recently connected a soundbar via toslink for the first time and do not understand the problem!

The ChromeCast has to be connected to the TV anyway! The sound output is then either normal via the TV OR is transmitted to the SoundSystem via toslink! Where's the problem?

Alternatively, it could be that the ChromeCast connects to the SoundSystem and this forwards the image signal to the TV.

The TV unfortunately only transmits stereo sound via Toslink.

The BD home theater system has only a single HDMI output, which is why it is unfortunately not possible.

So you want to split the signal from the CC and route it separately to the TV and the sound system? Could be difficult…

If your TV only has HD Ready anyway (1280x720?) I would rather put the money into a new purchase, save time and work and be content with stereo until then!

That's what it will boil down to.
