For some time now, the FN keys on my Samsung laptop no longer work! Louder and quieter is still possible, but screen dimming now only works via the system setting. All the other FN buttons like projecting; Wi-Fi on / off; Settings… Everything just works over the settings. How can I make my FN keys work again?
(My laptop had Windows 8 and I upgraded it to Windows 10!)
I had the problem for a very, very long time. For me it was a TeamViewer version. When I uninstalled it, the error was gone. So really unexpected programs can lead to this error.
Start in safe mode and see what the function does.

I have now tried. Unfortunately does not bring anything.
I'm not sure how these functions depend on the operating system. You could perhaps try to start a Live CD Live DVD or Linux via USB. That would be independent of Windows and there you could try again what the function key does. If it wasn't faulty immediately after upgrading to Windows 10, but only after a while, it's probably not because of it.
