Laptop not used, is it worse or not?

I have a question if you don't turn off a laptop or does it get worse, so slower or not?

If you don't do anything with the laptop, nothing changes in the processor or the RAM. The only thing that could change is the operating system that is getting older.

So if you leave it on, it gets worse because it exceeds its lifespan.

If you put it away without a battery, if possible, don't do it unless you do it for months or years, then the battery is over without charging.

Has no expiry date.

Seriously, realistically speaking, it is better to run an electrical device at a constant temperature. So there's no thermal stress (warming up / cooling down).

So it's all a question of consideration.
