Hi, I ordered a notebook from an electronics store because it had the cheapest price there. After a week, the shop will inform me without any information and inform me via e-mail that it is a greatly reduced return device and asks if I agree with it. Neither the website, nor the confirmation ail was mentioned that it is a demonstration model. Can I insist on a new device for the reduced price - after all, I've signed a contract in which I acquire a new device?
If it was marked as new or not as a return or exhibition device, I assume that you can insist on a new device.
Since the seller already asks you if that's okay I would deny the same question. Otherwise he will come later that you have answered something else here.
If the seller does not have the new device you should at least get your money back.
Exact legal steps I do not know now. But from my point of view this is always the last step if you can't talk to the guy.
Was it mentioned in the ad that it is a new device or have you just assumed that it is a new device?
I assumed that I came across the offer via idealo and that it is usually there when it is used goods
