Tax office wants documents for trips etc?

I submitted my tax for 2018 about 5 weeks ago. I have been back to school since mid-2018 to do my Master. The school is open 4 times a week and 30 km away (60 km in one day). This I have also specified everything perfect including my costs for laptop material, etc. The cost of laptop and material, I can also prove flawless.

However, I lack evidence for the fuel costs. I only have a few maybe 10 pieces. The total amount is 2830 euro. But I can prove because I need something for Bafög lately, that I was from 08.18 - 07.19 1051 hours in the school. I have that in writing. Is that enough for you and the 10 documents? What else can I do?

You probably need a daily listing for the tax, not a busy period. Corresponding presence would then have to be countersigned.

If our employees needed this for the tax, I had to print out the complete time recording incl. Job sites for service missions for each day and sign each month individually, otherwise the tax office always complained.

The tank receipts are not suitable proof. You can also get it from friends, relatives or anywhere else. Proof of this is the mileage of the vehicle. So TÜV reports, repair or customer service bills, on which the interim km state is noted. If you can't teach that, you have to hope for the good will of the editor.
