It's about the following:
I have a desktop PC and a laptop, both of which have the same Microsoft account. Now I have the "problem" that if I set a background image on my desktop PC, for example, it is automatically set on my laptop too. And when I put a picture on my laptop, my desktop PC automatically synchronizes it. That drives me a little crazy.
Therefore: How can I set separate background images on my desktop PC and on my laptop?
How do you set different backgrounds?
If you already know which desktop backgrounds you want to use, all you have to do is set it with a few clicks. With https://www.computerbild.de/...82449.html it works very simply:
Right-click an empty space on your desktop and select "Customize" from the menu. A new window with the title "Background" opens.
Under the "Select image" tab you will see a number of images that you can use as a desktop background. If the image you want is not there yet, click on "Browse" and add it.
Right-click on the image you want to use for your first monitor and select the "Set for Monitor 1" option in the menu that opens.
To assign a different background image to the second screen, right-click the corresponding image again and click the "Set for monitor 2" option.
Just copied from the internet lmao haha
That's 2 pc, not two screens.
This is synchronized through the MS account.
How this can be solved I don't know ad hoc either
Your problem can be solved very easily (I assume that you are using Win10). : Go to START> SETTINGS> BACKGROUND. At the top right you will find the SYNCHRONIZE SETTINGS command. Click there. In the window that now opens you can manage individual options, with the top command you can switch ALL synchronizations on and off.
But make sure that you do the same on the laptop so that it really works!
OK?
Have fun and NO STRESS!
Great.
Thanks for your answer.
However, I'm not talking about two different monitors, but two different computers, as described in the question.
