I want to buy a notebook for my studies, but I have no idea how much memory such a thing should have.
I need it to write homework etc. And save lectures (PowerPoint presentations). (Just so that you know roughly what all of this means)
Could someone give me some tips?
If it's really just for that, you don't need a lot of space.
Just normal.
512gb is enough
Found one with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB eMMc storage (whatever that is)
is that enough?
So I have to advise you against the devices that are sold with only 64GB flash memory, especially because you can't increase the memory in case of doubt. I personally would recommend at least 250GB, it sounds like a lot at first, but I've always had the experience that you need more storage space than you think.
Yes, completely
I have to explain something here.
Many cheap laptops only have eMMC storage. It is usually <200 GB in size. With a few photos it is quickly full. With only PP and Word this is completely ok.
You may be able to order an older laptop on eBay etc. (ThinkPads are good, preferably after 2012, or Fujitsu's Lifebooks of the T9XX series). They have better performance, possibly even upgradeable RAM and SATA slots. In the best case, even M.2 or PCIe.
Look here: https://www.otto.de/...=978300090 This has a very good price-performance ratio. Windows 10 Home 64bit is included.
