Does my Microsoft account count as a PC?

The question may sound a bit strange at the beginning, but I'll explain it to you.

For the school we have to install AutoCAD at home on our PC, but the project can only be used on 2 computers, so once at school and on my laptop at home. Next year, I would like to get a real PC and then like to install AutoCAD.

Then count new PC leg as another computer or recognize the program that it is the same Microsoft account and the program is deleted on the old computer and thus the new PC is the second PC?

Or can I handle the problem so that I now install AutoCAD on a SSD and then I take these and then install them in my new PC but there I think so that the SSD is formatted before it is displayed.

I would be happy about a meaningful answer that will take me further.

"but the project can only be used on two computers, that is, once at school and on my laptop at home."

Although I do not know AutoCAD, why is that only possible on 2 computers?

"Then count new leg PC as another computer or recognize the program that it is the same Microsoft account and the program is deleted on the old computer and thus the new PC is the second PC?"

Depends on how AutoCAD identifies a computer. Maybe they will do that via Microsoft account or MAC address, maybe even just via IP. If you're talking about a limitation of AutoCAD here, you have to make sense of times how to remove an old PC from the account. Should be easy.

"Or can I handle the problem so that I now install AutoCAD on an SSD and then I take these and then install them in my new PC but there I think so that the SSD is formatted before it is displayed."

Can you also try, but is unnecessary (since it should work as described above). And once the SSD has been recognized in a PC, you do not need to format it again if you're sticking it to another PC.

Neither mac nor ip (that would be ridiculous and impossible, first of all there are duplicate MAC addresses, secondly you can manipulate them and IP's are constantly changing), the license is mostly packed on the randomly generated ID that is made at each installation. Often when changing one must first release the license again to use them again in the new device.

Why a license is only for 2 computers, just for that, one in the office one home or PC / laptop or or, is immoment the common model with licenses of programs.

When moving to new computers, most software vendors offer the opportunity to first release the license again to then use them again.

with the SSD is nothing, the most is in the registry of the current Windows, ergo without Setup, the license manager will deny you.

what could be possible would be z.b. A virtual environment.
