Can't connect to a single Microsoft service?

As the title suggests, I have no access to any Microsoft services since today. Specifically, this means that I can neither sign in to OneDrive, nor use Skype, nor open the Microsoft Store, nor connect to Xbox Live, nor sign in at microsoft.com. It all started today while I was playing online on Xbox with friends: I was kicked out on Xbox Live and Skype, and not a single Microsoft service has worked since then. Neither on my PC, nor on my laptop, nor on the Xbox.

After a few tries and back and forth, I'm actually 100% sure that it has to be my network settings or network provider. Because when I connect to my cell phone or a mobile hotspot via mobile data, everything works as normal: The Microsoft Store loads, the devices log back in to OneDrive and synchronize well, I can log in to microsoft.com and my account manage, and theoretically I could even play with it, because the connection to Xbox Live on the console also works. So there's definitely no problem with my Microsoft account.

The question is: what the hell can that be? In my opinion it MUST be connected to the network somehow, since it works without problems with another network - I can't explain the whole thing otherwise. I will definitely call support from my provider tomorrow morning, since only they can probably fix the problem. However, I would still be interested in where the error could be, also to explain the whole thing a little bit better.

Re

Is there an error message such as B.: "wrong password"?

op

Check for connection problems and make sure you're signed in with a Microsoft account. Make sure Windows has the latest update: select Start, then Settings> Update and security> Windows Update> Check for updates

The question: does the Internet work at all? Perhaps your provider has network malfunctions and therefore nothing works

ta

No, I just put the question online here without internet.

So I really came up with the idea myself to check that beforehand… (no offense).

Partially. If I want to log on to the website, I get the error message "err_connection_timed_out" in Chrome, with the other services it just loads forever and nothing happens, or with Xbox Live something comes up with nothing like e.g. "Registration currently not possible, try again later"

Re

Is probably a network problem, see:

Maybe you have entries in the "hosts" file blocking the name resolutions to Microsoft.com… Is the problem only on this one computer?

Is the problem only on this one computer?

No. As already written in the question, it started on Xbox One and the problem occurs on all devices on the network: PC, Xbox, laptop and cell phone.

Re

Then you are probably in a central location like router or DNS in the router, which does not resolve the name. Have you set anything there, or are there DNS problems with your provider.

Enter times 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 as DNS server in your router.

Could have been that you asked the question on your cell phone, smart boy
