Need advice on assembling a microphone?

Maybe soon I'll get a Shure Sm7b for beatboxing I've been beatboxing for almost 3 years but never had my own microphone. I also watched a few videos about assembly, etc. And saw that they have a lot of additional equipment such as cloud or other connections. Do you absolutely need it or can you connect it directly or does someone have to come by? And I also wanted to ask if I can attach it to a laptop.

The Shure microphone needs a lot of power, so the Cloudlifter is used to bring more steam to it. If you have a decent mic preamp that delivers this performance by itself, then you don't need the lifter.

Then take a look at what the professionals use for beatboxing. Definitely not a 7b

You need an interface to connect the microphone e.g. The Steinberg UR22. Then a good dynamic microphone like the Shure SM 57 or the Sennheiser 835 s or 935 s https://www.thomann.de/....htm?glp=1

The 7 b needs at least 65 dba preamplification. That is the limit of most cheap interfaces. So you can't avoid a feathead (which is by the way completely overpriced)

Yes, the DPA mics are mostly only used on stage. And that's why it's super good! But:

It feels like all beatboxers have an SM7B at home.

The D Facto certainly sounds better raw for beatboxing than the SM7B raw, but as I said, almost all beatboxers have an SM7B at home. Admittedly, you have to adjust a bit to make it sound really good, but I think the mic is awesome.

The 7b is based on the capsule of the sm57. If you try the same with the 57, the result will be similar

Yes, but I would rather have one like the sm7b. These mics are just for on stage, I don't want one

Why not? You recommend a Shure SM57 yourself and the SM7B is more or less just an SM57 on steroids.

St

Yes, but the SM7 has a nicer bass reproduction due to the higher volume behind the capsule and, above all, no transformer. The transformer in the SM57 is rather simple - the one in the Shure 545 is much better.

I have nothing against the 7b. Mine for all the money there's better
