Windows laptop fell down about 2m from the cabinet. Broken?
Turn it on and see if it boots (i.e. Starts).
Normally, laptops should be able to withstand a lot due to their outer shell. If you're unlucky, the pc is over.
If it still works, it isn't broken, if it stops working, it is broken. This has relatively little to do with the height of fall in this area.
I once learned that the difference between hardware and software is that the hardware breaks if it falls.
The best thing to do is to just switch it on and check the function thoroughly.
Try it out and, if nothing works, then unscrew it and see whether plug connections, e.g. From RAM or hard drive, are loose.
How should we know that? Turn it on, see if it works and if the display has ouch ouch then the laptop has to go to the doctor and he has to blow really hard so that the ouch heals very quickly.
