I want to know if I have a laptop with this data:
IdeaPad 720S-13IKB
Device name LAPTOP-SSAU7F8F
Processor Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 (7.85 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system
Ark can play and if so with what quality.
What kind of graphics unit is installed?
An important piece of information is missing:
Is there a dedicated graphics unit installed in your notebook? So a GPU?
You have an integrated graphics unit from Intel → Intel HD 620
Have a look for yourself and found this product data:

With an Intel HD 620 you will be able to play ARK with an 800x600 resolution and the lowest graphics settings. And that won't be fun for you.
In the end, the graphics look like a Nintendo DS or a Nintedo 64, temporarily as a temporary solution but not long-term fun. You need a decent middle-class gaming computer so that ARK also looks nice and is fun.

An iGPU, UHD 620
How gpu?
Because the U processor is too weak for gamming
Unfortunately, this will probably be a bad experience. The graphics are far too weak for that.
Tip: if the laptop has a Thunderbolt 3 connection, then an external graphics card (EGPU) can be connected. After all, the processor is not bad…
Ark can be played like in the video - but only on the worst settings
So thanks for all the answers. My laptop is definitely too weak for ark without a graphics card.
I'll just keep playing the mobile version until I get a better pc.
