The carry-on bag is already full and can't take any more technical stuff. Is the travel case possible? (Fly from Zurich to Manila via Singapore with Singapore Airlines).
If you have ever seen how rough is often handled with luggage. No, definitely no. And it breaks, there's no insurance.
Pack so it fits in your carry-on bag. Absolutely, okay?
But the smartphone fits, right? It is still in the original packaging in it.

Hang it around your neck, that's for sure!
It will certainly give something out of the hand luggage that you can pack in the suitcase and thus smartphone and tablet in the hand luggage. You might think that in your carry-on essential items are packed that you can't put in your suitcase.

If I always see how to deal with the suitcases when loading and unloading I'm not surprised that so much is damaged. And assured… You will fight and lose for a long time.
No!
because of the lithium-ion batteries,
