Hand luggage Qatar Airways camera + weight exceeded?

I'm soon going on a 1 year trip with Qatar Airways and accordingly I have to take a lot with me. Unfortunately, the baggage regulations at Qatar Airways are relatively low. For my flight I have 30kg baggage allowance and 7kg hand baggage (1 piece and women's handbag allowed).
Now QA does not follow the European sizes and the piece of hand baggage may be max. Be 50cm high (actually all trollies here are 55cm!). Since all batteries must be in hand luggage: laptop, SLR and headset (without charging cable, only these 3 pieces) already weigh 7kg in the case, without padding etc.
For my flight, I pay 70 euro per extra kg per extra kg, so really a lot.

Can I put the headset in my handbag, or is that no longer allowed because it is not just a "women's handbag"? I'm obliged to take the charging cable with the battery in the cabin, but because of the 7kg they no longer go in the suitcase.

Also: Can I distribute the 30kg over several suitcases or do I only have to take one suitcase with me as free baggage allowance? On the website only the number of pieces is available for First and Business Class, with Economy only the number of kg.
And yes I read the FAQs, yes I read the website and no the call center number on the website does not work.

"[…] and therefore has to take a lot with it […]"

No, you don't have to. It is your habit. Take less and the problem is solved.

Thank you for this unhelpful answer. Anyone who moves to another country for a year does not get along with luggage for a short vacation. Especially not if you have something more than just lying in a lounger on the beach.
I'm not assuming that you know how much camera and hiking equipment weighs and takes up space. You don't just leave these things at home or just buy them for thousands of euro in the country and then leave them there.
Know-it-all comments don't help and are just rude in that case.

The 30 KG refer to the total amount of luggage, no matter how many.

Keep the headset on your head. A photo bag or laptop bag also counts as a "handbag".

La

Thank you, that helps a lot. Unfortunately, the call center number doesn't work, so it wasn't easy to ask.
6 euro is just cheap, according to the table I would have to pay 70 euro for my country. Well, at least there are 2 suitcases, so you can get a camera / hiking backpack under.

What a lady has in her handbag is actually nobody's business as long as it is not safety-relevant for the flight.

In addition, you can't only take a handbag with you, this is ONE (1) example:

In addition to your hand baggage allowance, you are allowed to bring personal items such as a women's handbag or a small briefcase, a coat, a cloak or blanket, an umbrella, a pair of walking supports or a walking stick, a small camera or binoculars, a limited amount of reading material, a children's backpack as well as duty-free products purchased on the day of your flight.

It is new to me that charging cables are also to be carried in hand luggage.

Your question is about a trip, not a move.

The latter requires completely different logistics.

La

Have you already flown with QA? The camera bag was also my plan, but it is almost as big as the actual piece of hand luggage (lenses, etc.). That would also be too striking as a woman, especially since the content is clearly a camera? = /
Unfortunately with the laptop bag no. The website clearly states that a laptop must be carried in hand luggage and not count as an extra piece of luggage. So either a laptop bag and nothing else, or pack your laptop in a small case.

La

At least I have to carry that of the Laoptops with me because it contains a battery. So the 7kg are exceeded. I probably have to take a small sports bag anyway, after all, European trollies also exceed the specified dimensions. (55 instead of 50cm)

fa

Well, if your "photo bag" is a camera case, you can't do anything. Put them in your checked baggage.

Do you fly business? The 2 suitcases are for business class.

As long as you don't fly to the United States or a few other specific destinations (and since you only see the kg number anyway) you will be able to take as many suitcases as you want, as long as they do not exceed 30 kg. "For routes where the weight concept apply, there's no limit on the number of pieces that can be checked in as long as the weight allowance for the total number of pieces is not exceeded." https://www.qatarairways.com/en/baggage/allowance.html
