You can use a free trial version of WinRAR, which can (if I remember correctly) be used for 1 month. I bought WinRAR and am quite satisfied with that.

My kids have an i5-2500 and a GT 1030 / GTX 750ti, plus 8GB of RAM. An SSD is not a must, but helps.
The previously used Intel HD was inadequate and 4GB of RAM was also inadequate. Especially with CC.
I recommend that to you as a minimum if it is an old PC.
For newer ones, a Ryzen 2200G with VEGA graphic part has been shown to be sufficient.
