I've been looking for a keyboard for composing for a long time, which I can take anywhere. It should have about 25-37 buttons and a headphone connection. All I found were midi controllers that only work with a laptop or an I-Phone. But that's not the only reason why I want to buy an I-Phone. Besides, I'm not familiar with these digital audio workstations at all. I would prefer a normal normal keyboard with headphone jack and otherwise a midi controller with a simple Bedienapp for Android. Do you know anything there?
The aspect of integrated sounds is the problem - it will not work.
You probably will not get around a midi keyboard, but do not worry - they are not that complicated at all.
If you really want to do it on Android:
Take a midi keyboard (Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol M32, which is expensive, but compact and very good), a USB OTG adapter and any synthesizer app
(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobileer.midikeyboard).
Then you join in the fun and you're done! Not nice, but without a laptop the best that is possible.
By the way, not afraid of the DAWs, they are not that bad. You do not even need one to actually play. For example, Equator (by Roli) is a standalone software that you can just as easily play. Quasi a synthesizer, just on your computer.
Thanks for the good answer. This Komplete Kontrol M32 really appeals to me. Could you maybe tell me the dimensions and the weight, if you know that?
Look at Thomann, Music Store, …, under Midi-Controller, Masterkeyboards, there you will find a suitable instrument.
I know that, are in the product description.
Dimensions (W x D x H): 475 x 167 x 50 mm
Weight: 1.45 kg
Not the easiest, but has a very reasonable keyboard - if only mini-buttons! If you can't handle it, an "IK Multimedia iRig Keys Pro" would be worth considering. This is even specifically for Android 5.0 The dimensions for that would be as follows: Size: 590mm x 189mm x 57mm (W x L x H)
Weight: 1.59kg
Great thank you
Roll Piano? Of course, the feel is not great

88er & with 128 sounds
Masterkeyboard in the case of Ocean MM Manger was available, with MIDI & external sound module. But that also weighs 30 kg with hammer mechanics. That one could work in the middle
