How do I increase the FPS on the laptop?

I own an MSI laptop and have the problem that I can't play games fluently anymore. I have reinstalled the driver several times, reduced Auto Start programs, cleaned fans, defragmented, reset settings, etc. Have played witcher 3 on the laptop already on high quality and everything ran smoothly. If I start Dota now only 30 fps are running at the lowest quality I could set. When I'm connected to the power supply, the FPS starts up at 60-100. Can't accept the attitude of Nvidia at all because I would then play under 20 fps. Can someone help me?

Very confused written.

Is the result better if you play with power supply or if you play with battery?

Gu

Yes, just can't write in peace. I meant of course if I'm connected to the power adapter and the battery is charging, then I can play better.

Your laptop is probably running in a low power mode when running on battery.
Is so with many laptops.

You have to connect the battery otherwise nothing works.

Would you get the same performance without a battery would be your battery in 10 seconds empty. So that's normal.

br

So if you play the power supply it is good, if you play the battery it is bad.

That's logical, because the energy saving rules apply to the battery. This means CPU and GPU clock are lowered, in the worst case the GPU is changed, eg from Nvidia to Intel.

Gu

But had no problems at all in the past. Could, as I said, play on very high quality even if I was not connected to the power supply. Maybe you have some advice for me on how to fix the problem.

na

It does not work that fast either.

But -.

No. The lipo in the laptop is not empty in new condition in 10s at full power.

Take a power consumption of 100W times as a base. The laptop battery has 4400mAh. At approx. 11V this results in an energy content of 48.4 Wh. At 100W power consumption, the smaller laptop batteries would be empty in about half an hour.

I used to have a gaming laptop from Acer and it was empty at full power on battery power when playing in about three quarters of an hour.

By the way, according to your statement, the laptop should have a theoretical power consumption of about 17kW.

What about Witcher 3?

You can't equate Witcher3 with Dota.

Witcher3 is much more demanding.

Gu

Witcher 3 is now unplayable it just jerky, could play it a year ago without problems… I think the cpu is very hot here, have the fans cleaned but has not helped much
