Internet on the PC suddenly slow?

Moin, I moved 2 months ago.

Since then I have a new provider (Vodafon), and surprisingly everything went well until yesterday. All of a sudden, however, the connection on my PC slipped from 50mb to a damn low 0.32mb. This phenomenon is only on my PC, on my smartphone and laptop it's full speed (so much higher). I had not changed / downloaded anything on my PC or visited "strange" sites. I've already updated the network driver, deactivated the firewall and uninstalled all antivirus software.

Is the PC in the network via LAN or WLAN? Are the units correct - milli?

ba

So the PC is connected via WLAN and as far as I know yes or, according to the speed test, it is now 0.23 mbit / s

The main problem with WLAN, i.e. With radio transmissions, is the radio connection!

Partition walls, metal objects and plants etc. Shield this signal strongly! The best way to do this is to have a "line of sight" between the router and the end device.

Often the USB stick or the WLAN antenna is still in the back of the PC, between the router and the stick there's the table and the PC (with metal housing) - not much is received.

For testing, put the cell phone right next to the stick or antenna and see how good the signal is. Then measure at other locations for comparison.

The following variants provide a remedy:

an extension that at least brings the stick / antenna away from the PC
Check whether there are interferers on the WLAN channel or directly next to it - change channel
Check whether the interruptions already occur at the entrance of the router - view the log in the router

To check with the mobile phone, I use the "Fritz-WLAN" app

Have no Fritz box, have ne other box provided by Vodafon. My cell phone works great next to the PC (so I have full bandwidth there)

Pe

Then try to connect the PC to the LAN just for testing. If you can then replace the WLAN stick / WLAN card

Perform the speed test via LAN connection. - The user is responsible for the quality of a WLAN connection.

If the low values are confirmed after a speed test (LAN) carried out in this way, restart the router by switching it off for 1 - 2 seconds and then on again.
