On a brand new laptop with Windows 10 and DSL6000? And is it possible to install only a part of both, or one of the programs? For example, Only the prog., Which correspond to Word and Excel? And could I easily open old Works files with both?

I can only say,
Open-Office has never disappointed me.
The programs have the same origin and are therefore similar knit. For both, you can choose which components to install, and the installation is done quickly. The whole thing should not take longer than putting your question here ;-)

Well with DSL 6,000 it may take a few minutes, but are only 285MB download.
To what extent is it relevant which installation goes through faster? Are you planning to do it more often?
