Powerline adapter - what has happened in the last 10 years?

I currently have my notebook in operation via a Devolo AV200 Mini Powerline adapter with LAN cable.

Now, as far as I know, this model was released in 2010.

From the modem to the powerline starting point I have 100-110 Mbps Down / 10 Mbps Upload speed.

My notebook in the office is now about 35 Mbps / 10Mbps (40ms ping). Which is actually surprisingly good for me.

My question now is: what has happened here in the last 10 years? What would improve if I replaced the 10 year old adapter with the latest top models from Devolo (e.g. Devolo Magic 2)? (of course in exactly the same position, exactly the same situation)

Ja

Not much has changed since it still depends on your power line.
