Difference from notebook / laptop?

Laptop covers the area (notebook, netbook, etc.).

No difference today.

Nowadays, a distinction is rarely made and both terms are used for the same devices.

Originally, netbooks were smaller than laptops.
Netbook: screen size of about 10 "
Laptop: screen size of about 15 "

Also, netbook had mostly smaller hard drives and lower computing power than laptops.
