Windows 10 license allowed on two devices?

I bought a laptop about 2 years ago that did not yet have an operating system, so I bought a Windows 10 license with the associated download CDs. Now I want to sell the laptop and continue to use the license for my new home-made PC. I have already reset the laptop to the factory settings but the Windows 10 remained installed. My question now is whether I can simply resell the laptop with Windows 10 or whether I have to uninstall Windows 10 first, because I want to use the same license on my PC.

I know that it is possible to install Windows 10 with the same license on multiple devices, but is this prohibited or can this have any consequences?

In addition, I would also be interested in whether the subsequent owner could somehow come into contact with my Microsoft data etc. Due to the same license or even overwrite my Windows accounts with his.

I thank you in advance to all those who are familiar with the area and can help me somehow.

You need to uninstall your version of Windows. You can install a non-activated version. The buyer must then activate it after 30 days

This is sometimes very tricky. Here it is explained:

You have to deactivate the old license. This does not make the laptop's Windows installation unusable. For data protection alone, however, I would completely delete the disk / SSD.

You can use the key on the new one. But then it's gone for the old one

1 key = 1 device

Deactivate the key on the old device and then delete partitions when reinstalled and let Win Setup recreate them.

You already have the answer with the licensed item.

I wanted to tell you, if you have properly flattened the PC so you have to reinstall Windows 10 from a storage medium and best formatted the SSD or HDD (with disk part) during the Windows 10 installation, the buyer should normally no longer be so easy with data on your PC or to the access data of your Microsoft account.

Thanks for your answer but I still have a question. So if I format the hard drive on which Windows 10 is installed, can the subsequent owner reinstall windows and continue to use the laptop without any problems or do I have to take any issues into account? I just want to make sure that the laptop is like new afterwards and that nothing is left of me.
