What would a laptop not be enough for and who needs a PC today despite a laptop?
From a certain performance class, the TDP is too high for a laptop. Be it thread ripper or a Ryzen 9 3950X. In addition, PCs are significantly quieter and modular.
Otherwise, it's still a budget issue, which is usually the main reason.
Well, laptops are only there if you want to take them with you on the go. The disadvantage is that the laptop is more expensive and sometimes weaker than a desktop PC, and you don't have the right cooling as with the PC.
So what you call a PC here is actually a desktop computer. Because "PC stands for" personal computer "and a laptop is also included and is also a PC. But well, I already understood the colloquial language.
A desktop computer costs less in relation to performance. It is easier to repair or upgrade. It is usually cooler and quieter, etc.
I haven't used my laptop for a long time to gamble except on the side on vacation. So just before sleep or something.
But I prefer to use my desktop computer. Of course, one or two monitors could be connected to the laptop, although two monitors do not go directly with every laptop… A mouse and an external keyboard are also possible. But why should you connect so much to a laptop, they are actually for mobile use?!
Just think if the graphics card from my laptop gets too weak even though the processor is still good enough. Then what do I do? Buy a brand new device. What do I do with a desktop computer? I only buy the new graphics card.
