Is my GPU good for a laptop?

I have a normal laptop with a gtx 1050 2GB vram with max q design, now I want to ask, is that good for a laptop or rather not and how much fps should I be able to play known shooters on?

Hope you can help me.

Ma

What CPU does the laptop have and how much RAM

br

Rather bad.

It doesn't get much smaller with a "gaming" notebook.

The 2GB VRAM alone is a joke these days.

I5 8gb

OK:/

Since you seem to know your way around, can you answer me a question?

It's about the temperature of the computer / GPU.

When I do benchmarks or play complex games, the laptop gets very hot (let me show it, 80 °)

Do you know a solution to cool the laptop, for example. Cooling pad etc.

Si

Pretty bad for a laptop but "Okay",

at least 12Gb Ram should be available and

which i5 do you have exactly?

br

This is normal for notebooks, since everything is built in the smallest of spaces.

That is why notebooks are at a disadvantage compared to desktop PCs. Notebooks have to lower the clock speed in order not to overheat, which then leads to even less performance in gaming.

GPUs can also go far beyond 90 °, but this is prevented by the manufacturers because the surrounding plastic suffers.

Cooling down…

Feet under the notebook is usually enough. You can of course also add a cooling pad underneath.

Phew… It's an i5 8th gen

Ok, should be enough to play games from 2015 to high.

GTA e.g. With 50-60Fps on normal to high.
