Why can't my notebook use its dedicated GPU?

The following device is concerned:

Packard Bell EasyNote TS13HR

I5-2410M

4GB DDR3 RAM

GT 510M w / 2GB VRAM

I have the following problem:

The notebook does not want to use its 2nd GPU under any circumstances, but lingers on the integrated Intel HD 3000 unit.

In the bios, I can only choose "switchable" or "integrated", so I can't set it completely.

All drivers seem to be installed correctly.

If I deactivate the IGPU from Intel in the device manager, I can't open the NVIDIA control panel because it can't find the GPU and the computer uses the "Basic video adapter" rather than the d-GPU.

All games seem to recognize only the Intel GPU and also use it, in the NVIDIA control panel to force their use in individual programs does not seem to cause any change.

EDIT:

Both GPUs are displayed in the Task Manager, but permanently without any load and missing information

Can anyone help me?

You can assign individual programs to the card via the NV control panel, but normally the laptop should switch automatically with the BIOS setting "switchable".

Yes I can, but it doesn't seem to be of any use.

Tr

That's right

What kind of performance do you expect? This laptop is a cucumber.

I'm aware that it should actually force the dGPU to be used, unfortunately it just doesn't seem to happen when I do this

ba

I expect the performance of a GT540M that currently does nothing and therefore does not result in any loss of performance even though it is more than twice as fast as the intel 3000

Tr

Switch the bios to switchable, restart the laptop and then reinstall the nvidia driver if necessary, then open the nvidia pannel and tell it to use the standard high-performance GPU, take it over and it's good.

As I said, I've already done that, but even games where I force the GPU only use the intel HD 3000
