I have a Windows 10 laptop and want to buy a new one. I'm currently sharing the computer with my sister and most of what is currently on the computer is data from her. Now you can understand that I do not want your data on MY new computer, but only mine. So my question:
How can I transfer only certain (not all) files to the new computer?
The easiest way is to put all your files into a folder on the old PC and then drag them to the new computer using a USB stick.
If there's no USb you can also open a temporary network share.

Your new laptop has its own windows, your data, documents and pictures can be transferred from one computer to another using any removable medium. Or via the home network if both are connected to a common router.
