That's enough for one-size-fits-all.
Acceptable entry-level processor and 8GB RAM are very good for office use.
Sims 4 does not have high requirements and will probably run smoothly on any laptop or desktop PC for the past 3 years.
The problem I see with the ddm laptop is that it has very little memory. 256GB is not a lot. Especially not for your university documents + game.
If you want to buy the PC, you should definitely have an external SSD on which you can save your documents.
I would recommend a minimum of 2TB.
I would be interested in what you have studied, that your documents use 2TB haha.
Medicine. My 1tb SSD is almost full after 2 semesters.
With so much more online now, logs and files are accumulating.
You can also get external 1-2 TB hard drives for as little as 40 euro and they make my life easier.
Less rubbish on the PC, backup copies, I can take them with me and have my data in the library on the computers too.
Ok I'm studying business informatics in the 3rd semester and I only have a few GB. But of course you are right that an SSD is now very cheap or inexpensive.
