Hi, when I go to the WLAN on my smartphone, the WLAN always breaks my laptop, or it is extremely slow! What can I do against it?
Use LAN cable.
Radio is always unstable and is influenced by umpteen (disturbing) factors.
The more devices that spark on a channel, the more susceptible a connection becomes.
Google for ISM band and marvel at how much is going on besides Wi-Fi. 😉
Possibly could better antennas help - or a position change of the devices - you can guarantee without trying but nothing.
Then the smartphone takes away the power and the laptop only has a low bandwidth.
Maybe it helps (yes after router) a guest access (on another radio channel!) With a different name and password to use, then run the laptop on one entrance and the smartphone on the other.
An idea:
Make Bluetooth on your smartphone and also on the laptop, because both WLAN + Bluetooth at the same time can cause mutual interference.
