Windows update in win 7 damaged, now win 10 install?

For some time now, my laptop is having problems. Windows update is not working properly. I have now tried to fix the problem without success. In the posts on the web I have exhausted all options except for the reset or the reinstallation. I would like now but rather do the upgrade to win 10, but do not know if that works if win 7 is not repaired before.

Can I upgrade win 10 without any problems? Or will I not release the win update problem like that? Do I need to reinstall Win 7 before I can upgrade?

Completely flatten your computer, win10 iso Download, install Win10 and use the win7 key
