What kind of processor and memory should a laptop have? Which manufacturer and which minimum performance are recommended? It is intended for surfing, for Office and for Netflix.
For these applications you need next to nothing.

I have had good experiences with HP.
It depends on how demanding the programs are. My old laptop had an Intel Core i3-2370M with 2.40 GHz.
