I really need a new laptop, but I don't know which one is the right one. I mainly need it for school (there's also online schooling) and I would love to play Sims with it, so it shouldn't just be for school. And not too expensive either. But I don't really know about the processor, hardware and stuff, so I ask the question.

I don't understand your question now. First you write that you are using it for home schooling, and then suddenly not anymore?

The hardware is almost irrelevant here, since you only want to play Sims, and that's not really demanding.
So, if you really only want to use it for school and Sims, then I recommend a Microsoft Surface or a Google Chromebook. Microsoft's are a bit more expensive than Google, but it's worth it
