I wanted to connect my camera to my laptop to pull some photos over. But my laptop only displays the folders on my camera as shortcuts, and when I try to open them, it says, "The drive or network connection the shortcut refers to is not available. Make sure the disk is inserted correctly or the network resource is available and try again. " Unfortunately, I do not understand what that means. On the camera itself, I can look at the photos normally. Maybe someone has an idea how I get now to my photos?
Am there layman, but do you have an HDMI cable? Maybe it works over it?
Even if, the tip would be nonsense as long as you do not want to present the images directly from the camera on a TV / monitor.
Take out the memory card and insert it into the corresponding card reader of the laptop.
No card reader? Then buy.
Or: Install driver software of the camera - but please consult the manual of the camera beforehand, if this kind of data transmission is intended.
I've got the map slot cut down. Since then I transfer all images via HDMI cable to the computer, that's no problem!
No idea what you are using for a cable - it certainly is not HDMI.
Either you use another cable or your data landed in nirvana.
