Hi, in the pictures you can see a free slot in a laptop and a subsequently installed msata hard disk, which is not recognized by the BIOS and Windows (diskmgmt.msc).
Is that possibly not a msata slot, or what could be the reason?
The connector looks like SATA III only the medium like mSATA.
I would look for the 2nd medium with Ubuntu booting and gparted.
maybe there's a USB-mSATA adapter. Then you can use the medium.
I will research and get in touch.

Here the connection looks different than with SATA III.
I'm still trying to find a picture for comparison.
The slot is MSATA, so the new drive must be formatted. This should be done by someone with experience, as you can have your entire system destroyed in no time.
I also found mini pcie in the photo of the connection. However, this makes little sense because a Wi-Fi Bluetooth module is already installed underneath.
No disk is shown in the BIOS, but it should when the hardware is recognized, right?
Which operating system and which manufacturer and model? There are devices for which the m.sata must be released.
