Windows 10 key read?
I recently bought a laptop with Windows 10 (Pro). Now I want to build a PC. I have already read the Windows 10 key on my laptop and wanted to ask whether it can be used when reinstalling Windows on the new PC. Actually, that should work, right?

Then go to CMD (just press Windows key + R and type cmd and then run) and enter the command slmgr -upk. This will uninstall the license key from the current PC. (The laptop still works)
You can try yes, but actually the keys stored in the UEFI BIOS are hardware-bound OEM licenses. The key was surely already used for the laptop.
You'd better get a new one for 3 euro.
Anyone who buys a key for 1.50 euro is not exactly the brightest. First, such keys are mostly not legal and who guarantees that they work? You can only get serious keys from 20-30 euro. With Windows, they even cost 100-150 euro and why spend money if you get a key with 5 minutes effort free of charge that works.
My question was only whether it works. Maybe someone already had experience with it.
Simply register with the new PC with Microsoft account.

1 key for 2 PCs is not the best.
