I would like to post my broken laptop on Ebay.
There are tinkerers who then take the laptops apart or do something with them.
Now it is the case that my laptop is still 'running' (reset to factory settings). However, it has an almost falling apart bottom part (bottom right) and the battery is weak and should be replaced.
Would you rather use a laptop like this if it is defective or as a handicraft device?
Handicraft device is apparently not completely broken
What does the ebay definition for 'defective' and 'handicraft device' look like?
I would set it as "functional with housing damage" and then describe the damage.
By the way, you can restore all of your data, only for INFO. Better remove the hard drive.
Hobbyist or defect means the same. Just write a defective laptop to hobbyists and describe it exactly. Then you are on the safe side.
